Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player enables you to play Blu-ray movies on your Mac. When first opening the software, you will be asked, which files do you want to associate with it. In addition to Blu-ray format, a number of other media formats are supported, including mov, DVD, VideoCD, avi, flv mp4, mpeg, ac3, aac, mp3, rmvb and others. Built in subtitles and external subtitles are also supported. External subtitles can be opened in a number of formats, such as sub and srt.
User interface consists of main window, which is very basic, with playback buttons, volume control, timeline slider and video screen, which can be extended to full screen. For playback of protected movies, you will also need an internet connection, as the software uses it to acquire license. If you want to watch online videos, you can open them as well. Supported formats for online videos include http, ftp, rtsp and others.
It also comes with two practical functions. First is share function, which enables you to comment or recommend movie you are watching directly to facebook and twitter. Other function enables you to play media files on any iOS device, such as iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Before using this function, you will have to register the software.
